{Mixed Media Tutorial} Mixed Media Calendar by Melissa

Hi! I'm here to share another mixed media calendar to share with you today.

I hope you enjoy seeing the process I used to create it and find it an to be an encouragement.

I used the following STAMPlorations products for this tutorial:
ARTplorations: Heart in BubblesBloom SilhouettesCircular Two Stencils
STAMPlorations: Trust in the Lord Stamp set.

1. I started by choosing a lovely hearty stencil (one of my ARTplorations favorites) and sheet of light pink card stock for my calendar base.

  2. I created 2 masks with removable sticky label and using the lovely stencil as a template.

3. I used the negative mask first. I masked off around the stencil and sponged a variety of inks onto the background.

 4. I removed the mask.

5. I covered the the stenciled hearts with the positive mask and sponged on the same colors, but this time in the opposite order.

 6. I removed the mask to check my results.

7. I then replaced the mask and stenciled on a pattern of interlocking circles and a bunch of blooms.

8. I also added gold embossing paste and red Smooch Spritz.

9. I chose my sentiment, stamped in embossing ink, heat embossed with gold embossing powder and added 2 more colors of Smooch Spritz.

 10. I matted the panel.

11. Then, I added my February calendar. I designed the little calendar as a word document and printed it onto white cardstock. It measures about 4" x 2 1/4" or 4 cm x 5.75 cm.

Finished! That's all I have for you for today. I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial and look forward to reading your comments.
Thanks for stopping by!
